Little Leaf Earrings

When I was a child, I always recognised it was autumn time by the spinning of the helicopter seeds dancing down from the maple trees by my school. I still think there is something magical about that dance.

Maple trees of many different sizes are used as decoration around the world from the tiniest bonsai maples to the largest and aptly named bigleaf maple. I think this makes it all the more fitting that these little fine silver leaves are those of the maple tree.

The leaves have been individually crafted in precious metal clay and then fired in the kiln. A patina has been added to make the veins of the leaves pop and the are attached to sterling silver earring hooks.

I hope they bring you a little bit of childlike joy as they remind you of the beautiful autumnal colours and dancing helicopters.
